Villa Valbonne, a very beautiful seasonal rental located at
Saint Michel d' Euzet in
Provence Gardoise
In this sunny Provençal Gard, at the confluence of the Ardèche, Cèze
and Rhône rivers, where the sun shines 300 days a year and
magnificent contrasting landscapes alternate with each other: valley
of the Cèze, Ardèche gorges, the wide-ranging Côtes du Rhône
vineyards, dominated by dazzling stone villages, scrubland and
fields of lavender at the foot of the Cévennes, on the edge of the
Valbonne forest (a listed Natura 2000 site stretching over 5000
hectares); here is the village of Saint Michel d'Euzet, in the Gard
Provençal between Avignon and Uzès, close to famous tourist sites
such as the Pont du Gard, the Nîmes and Arles amphitheatres, the Van
Gogh circuit, Orange with its Roman theatre, the village of Les Baux
de Provence, the Dentelles de Montmirail mountains, Mont Ventoux,
the mountainous chain of the Alpilles, the Camargue and the lake of
Vacarès, Goudargues (7
km), and the Sautadet waterfalls (3 km). The beaches of the
Mediterranean are an hour away by car (Le Crau du Roi, Les
Saintes Maries de la Mer or La Grande Motte). Venturing further
afield, the Monts du Vaucluse, the Luberon massif, Aix-en-Provence
and Marseilles, with its old harbour and its spectacular inlets, can
be reached in only two hours drive.
Without
forgetting for the lovers of theater and festive atmosphere, the
Festival of the Theater of Avignon, which takes place traditionally
in July. |
